Hi, I’m Teal, and along with my family, I share our country property near De Pere, Wisconsin with our Bengals, two orange cats, a Yorkshire Terrier, and a Rough Collie. Our goal is to provide the very best care for our cats and kittens through high-quality food, clean and enriching spaces, and plenty of time spent socializing, playing, and getting to know each one. Bengals are a fun, active breed who love to play, explore, and snuggle with their people.
Home-Grown Care
Our Bengals are raised in a bright, enriching nursery designed for healthy growth and happy, confident cats. They enjoy climbing trees, a cat wheel, tunnels, toys, and plenty of space to explore. With my office right in the nursery, they receive daily attention and lots of gentle socialization from the start. The room is filled with natural light and beautiful sunset views, creating a warm, peaceful environment for every kitten. The nursery is cleaned thoroughly every single day, because cleanliness is very important to me and plays a vital role in protecting the health and well-being of our cats.
Genetics & Health
Every FableMist cat receives comprehensive DNA screening to help us make thoughtful, responsible breeding decisions. We carefully review bloodlines and pedigrees so we can better understand each cat’s history, preserve healthy traits, and plan pairings with the well-being of future generations in mind. We also routinely screen for illnesses through PCR testing and provide a high-quality diet to maintain and support healthy cats and kittens. After our cats are over one year of age, we complete yearly HCM screenings as part of our ongoing commitment to produce healthy cats.

I spend hours every day learning, reading, and connecting with other breeders about best practices. I believe every day is an opportunity to learn something new, especially when it comes to cat care, health, and responsible breeding. I love listening to podcasts and audiobooks on these topics, especially while doing chores like vacuuming or mowing the lawn. I work hard to stay as current as possible so I can make thoughtful breeding decisions and provide the best possible care for our cats and kittens.

No breeding program is perfect, so we believe in open, honest dialogue with new and prospective kitten families. We are happy to answer questions and help families understand what to look for when choosing the right breeder. Health testing, living environments, nutrition, time spent with the cats, and a breeder’s knowledge of responsible breeding practices and kitten care can all make a meaningful difference in the kitten you bring home.
